Sole Designer
Q3 2019
3 to 7 over time

Daily Race was created as a way to newly drive engagement at a daily basis for the players at Hit It Rich, while still feeling like a experience that players would immediately find familiar.
Key outcomes
Launched in less than 60 days
1500 jobs gain in usage by users with the first few weeks
15000+ jobs created solely by users within it's first year
With over 1000 jobs being created on the platform monthly, getting clients to post jobs themselves is a huge need. However, our systems and processes are too confusing, and very few, if any, users create a job by themselves without full help from the tilr team.
Leading the project design from end to end, I turned this from concept to live feature less than 60 days. I led and facilitated multiple rounds of user testing and iteration during a fast paced, agile process rooted in a start-up's lightning speed.
From an early stage, I spoke to real users to gather the data that we were missing; the actual stopping points that were stopping them from using the application, and instead relying on tilr's own customer services to make listings on their behalf. Building in live prototypes allowed me and my developers to make changes in real time, allowing for rapid user testing in the app itself. These early iterations were monumental to get tangible feedback (as opposed to the previous assumptions based approach prior to my joining). Stakeholders were able to buy in to my approach because the design was data and results driven.
We then launched and were able to succeed in the key metric: jobs created solely by users. From single digits, the metric then scaled to over 1500+ over the course of a few weeks, leading to a huge shift for a small startup to start generating a real user centered approach.
